Big League Chew – Homage
First off, whats not to like about this shirt? Vintage style t-shirt, vintage graphics and vintage memories. I actually own this one in addition to several other Homage t-shirts and I have nothing but good things to say about all of them. They have that thin worn out feel of your favorite old school t-shirt, fit comfortably snug and have great graphics. Homage also ships their shirts with goodies, this one in particular actually comes with Big League Chew bubble gum. Every time I wear this shirt I get complements, even one of the straight faced TSA guys in the airport whispered to me as I walked through the metal detector “cool shirt”. That says a lot because those guys typically don’t even flinch

As much as I love this company and their shirts, I unfortunately had a problem with them this time. Before I go any further, let me tell you they rectified the situation smoothly and immediately, I’d like to add they didn’t know i run a t-shirt review blog either. I was just another typical customer. I feel it’s important to share this off experience because it only strengthens my appreciation for the company, their products and employees.
I ordered a few shirts at one time, one of them being a discounted item which is non returnable or refundable. As I said, I’ve bought other shirts from this company before and all fit and looked great. This time however I ordered 3 shirts and they all fit differently. The first shirt was the typical perfect fit, the second was this Big League Chew shirt that fit pretty good but the neck was so tight I couldn’t bare it and the third looked like I was wearing a shirt from elementary school. The third shirt happened to be the on sale non-return/refundable shirt. I was pretty let down, so I contacted Homage via their website. A day or two later Ben from Homage replied to me. He was extremely polite and eager to solve my problems. Ben informed me that they were tweaking the sizes of their shirts to get them just right and thats why I had a discrepancy in my t-shirts. We had a few email exchanges, I sent my t-shirts back and he sent me two new ones that fit. No fuss, no hassle… just great customer service. I’m used to getting such horrible customer service, especially with online purchases that it’s refreshing to know that there are companies and people out there that go the extra mile for their customers.
Just an fyi, I comfortably wear a large in most typical t-shirts, with the new adjusted sizes on Homage I now wear an XL comfortably. So if you are ordering you may want to consider going up a size. For reference, I’m 5′ 8″ in pretty good shape at about 170 pounds… More on the stalky side than wirey.
All in all I am overly pleased and will continue to purchase with confidence from this company.
