My personal review of the ordering process and the watch itself.

Picked this bad boy up a few weeks back. I’d been looking at it and couldnt justify the 80 dollar price tag… that is until I had a few stiff ones (ok, several)… booze will get you to do a lot of things you don’t want to and a lot of things you do want to but normally wouldn’t, this day was no exception… I digress.

I purchased this Timex 80 calculator watch at Penelope’s Boutique Online. It’s actually a boutique in Chicago Illinois, but they have an online presence too. The watch arrived in the mail 4 days later (sunday was one of those days) and to my surprise it came in a large box that sounded like it had stuff rattling around inside, I was hoping it was not broken. Fortunately for me, it was just some candy that one of the people from Penelope’s (please forgive me I threw away the packing slip that had your name… oops) placed in the box along with a nice message wishing me luck with my blog. I’d mentioned that maybe we could do something together sometime.

As I emptied the box, I saw this black box with the words TIMEX on it. When I opened this box I saw the really cool package design that held the watch (pics below). It was a neon yellowish green plastic with a clear top that slid off, exposing the watch sitting snug in some grey foam. The watch itself is what you would expect, it’s a calculator watch like many of us had as kids.. maybe a bit nicer, ok… much nicer. But it’s still just a plastic watch with a calculator. I’m not sure it’s really worth 80 bucks, but for a cool looking all white watch (which i’ve been wanting) that reminds me of back in the day, it was worth it.

Anyone else have one of these, let me know what you think! Dont have one, let me know what you think based on the review anyway…

Take it easy,
-Tim

No myspace yet, I’m still setting everything up. I’m hoping to have the full launch in about two weeks. Still a lot of content to plug into the site.
